American Liberalism

U.S. President George W. Bush was reported to boast at an American Enterprise Institute meeting, that he has appointed "20 Straussians to occupy key positions in his Administration."

Straussian critiques of "American Liberalism"

Neo-conservative criticism against "liberals" in the U.S. media, are Straussian in origins. The U.S. mass-media has given a misleading impression to Americans that this critique is against the irresponsible "spend-thrift" ways of 'liberals'. This neo-conservative criticism is actually an attack against the Straussian perception of an America that has become "permissive" and "weakened" by inferior and "multi-cultural hordes". Abhorred "liberal policies" are those initiatives which seek, for example, to promote human rights, social justice, peace in places that include the "inferior races" forum of the United Nations; and the environment.
